BREAK IT UP WITH BRUNCH
Keen to host a brunch with your loved ones this Easter? Do it with a spread of pancakes or maybe some eggs in a Shakshuka to warm up and fill the day.
Recipe: Pancakes Serves 4 Total time: 15 minutes

Place a medium-sized pan over a medium heat. Add the olive oil, sliced onion, sliced capsicum and sliced garlic and sauté, stirring for 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent and the capsicum has softened.
Add the paprika and cumin and continue to stir for a further 1 minute or until the spices are toasted and fragrant.
Stir through the crushed tomatoes, season to taste and bring to a simmer.
Reduce the heat to low then using the back of a spoon, create four wells in the mixture for your eggs. Crack an egg into each well, cover the pan with a lid and allow to cook for 5 minutes or until the eggs have cooked to your liking.
Garnish the dish with chopped coriander or parsley and serve at the table with grilled flatbreads. Enjoy!
DIY PIZZA LUNCH
Not sure what to do this Easter? A DIY pizza lunch will do the trick! Prepare pizza dough ahead of time, let everyone top their own pizzas; even the kids can get involved and then all you have to do is pop them into the oven for effortless entertaining!
Recipe: Pizza Dough Serves 6
Total time: 80 minutes
Knead together pizza dough quickly with the Stainless Steel Kneaders of Kenwood’s QuickMix+ Hand Mixer. Featuring a pulse function and gripped handle, this mixer delivers powerful performance with comfortable handling.
Fit the Stainless Steel Kneaders to the Kenwood hand mixer.
Stage 1
Add ingredients (flour, yeast, oil, salt, water) into a mixing bowl.
Using the Kenwood hand mixer, start gradually with the QuickMix+ function. Increase the mix speed and mix all ingredients for 10 minutes or until dough is kneaded well.
Cover with a tea towel and leave dough to prove for 40 minutes.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured worksurface and divide the dough into 2 equal pieces.
Gently pull the edges into the centre. Roll the dough over and roll into a ball shape. Repeat this action with the other dough piece, then cover with a tea towel. Leave to rest for 10 minutes.
Pre heat the oven to 250°
Sprinkle plain flour onto the baking tray.
Take one of the dough balls, and place upside down on the lightly floured worksurface. Carefully flatten the dough with your wrist.
Using a rolling pin, shape the dough into a circle about 15 cm in diameter and 0.5cm thick.
Place the dough onto the baking tray and garnish your pizza as desired.
Bake for 10 minutes at 250°
Repeat with the other dough ball.
Serve pizzas warm.

DELIGHTFUL EASTER DINNER
Impress your guests with a delicious dinner this Easter. Textures and flavours combine in the Healthy Shrimp, Asparagus and Quinoa Salad alternatively, a Basil Pesto Pasta will cater to all, including non-meat eaters in the group. Both can be crafted on the Bosch 60cm Induction Cooktop.
Upon boiling, blanch the basil leaves for 1 minute, then chill them in a container with ice cubes and water.
Squeeze the excess water from the basil leaves, then blend them with corn oil, roasted nuts, garlic, cheese, salt and pepper using a Food Processor or blender.
Make sure ingredients are packed together before blending them into a paste.
Part 2 of 2 – Pasta
Boil water in a medium sized pot and salt it.
Add pasta once the water boils, and cook the pasta according to the recommended timing on the packaging.
In a slightly heated medium sized pan, add cooking oil and lightly fry the garlic.
Turn down the heat to allow more time for the pasta to cook till it almost reaches its desired timing.
When the pasta is left with about a minute to being fully cooked, add 5 tablespoons of pesto mixture and tossed it evenly into the pan with garlic.
After the pasta is cooked, strain and toss it together with the pesto. Add some liquid from the water from the pasta if needed, to moisten the pasta.
Garnish with parsley, cheese, olive oil, rock salt and cracked pepper.

Indulge in all things sweet this Easter with tantalizing desserts. Make use of left-over Easter eggs and bunnies to make chocolate treats. Ingredients
1⅓ cups chocolate chips
½ cup smooth peanut butter
3 cups corn flakes cereal
Method
Place the chocolate in the Sunbeam Mixmaster® HeatSoft™ Planetary Mixer bowl, attach the scraper beater and fit the Heatsplash™ guard onto the bowl.
Turn on HeatSoft™ and select MELT on low speed. Gradually increasing speed, mix until the chocolate becomes silky smooth. Turn off HeatSoft™.
Mix in the peanut butter until well combined and smooth.
Add the corn flakes mix until all are well coated.
Scoop the cookie mix onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper by the tablespoon, and form into a cookie shape with your hands (careful, it will be sticky!).
Chill in the fridge or freezer until hardened and ready to eat!
Recipe: Chocolate Banana Split Serves 1 Total time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
200 ml of cold milk
Cocoa powder
Caramel sauce
1/2 banana
Method
To create the first part of the recipe, add a thin layer of caramel sauce and banana pieces to the bottom of a glass serving bowl.
Use the Delonghi Eletta Explore Automatic Coffee Machine and froth 100ml of milk to create hot micro foam milk. Then mix in the cocoa powder evenly to create hot chocolate.
Pour the hot chocolate into the bowl until it fills around 1/2 of the glass bowl.
Prepare 100ml of cold milk foam using the Delonghi Eletta Explore Automatic Coffee Machine and pour it over the hot chocolate.
To complete the recipe, decorate with caramel sauce and banana pieces.
Tip: For best visual results, pour each drink into the glass over the back of a long spoon to create even layers.
