Panasonic’s SoundSlayer Named Honoree at CES 2021

Panasonic’s SoundSlayer Gaming Speaker (SC-HTB01) has been given the Honoree title at the online CES 2021 event.

An speaker for gamers, the SoundSlayer provides powerful surround sound with 2.1 channel, 3-way speaker system with a built-in subwoofer, all in a compact design. This gaming speaker boasts state-of-the-art audio technologies such as Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X and DTS: Virtual X™, letting gamers play with a realistic audio experience.

The SoundSlayer comes equipped with three gaming modes to provide an immersive experience, they include:

  • Role-Playing Game mode
  • First-Person Shooter mode
  • Voice mode

SoundSlayer was recognised for its innovative design and engineering. No further details about the SoundSlayer have been released.


Hisense Releases First 8K TV

Hisense have unveiled their 2021 ULED TV range, which included the launch of the highly anticipated ULED 8K TV. The U80G is Hisense’s first ever 8K TV in Australia, and it comes packed full of visual and audio technologies including Quantum Dot Colour, 8K Upscaling, Dolby Vision ™ HDR and Dolby Atmos® Audio.

The U80G 8K TV will be available in 65”, 75” and 85” models at Australian retailers from February. Its reported that the Hisense 75” U80G 8K TV will be the first to hit Australian shelves.


Samsung launches new Neo QLED

Samsung’s new Neo QLED revolutionises home entertainment and how you use your TV. Powered by Quantum Mini LED, coupled with Quantum Matrix Technology, Neo QLED produces more detail, brighter colours and clearer pictures for an extraordinary viewing experience.

Samsung’s new Micro LED combines stunning quality with ultra-large viewing at home. Micro LED TV panels contain up to 24 million microscopic self-lit LEDs that produce captivating brightness and clarity.

Micro LED TVs boast an Infinity Screen that integrates seamlessly into your space, providing an immersive experience. Offering flexibility, Micro LED TVs are available in a modular form for easy customisation of size, ratio and shape. Currently, the ultra-large 110” Micro LED TV is being considered for Australia, with smaller sizes also available.

With zero distance between the light source and the TV panel, TCL’s OD Zero Mini-LED is thinner than ever. Model sizes and sales dates will be announced later this year.

 

TCL’S 2021 TV & Audio Line-Up

In 2021, TCL are bringing a range of new TV and audio solutions which will meets the needs of all entertainment lovers. Various 2021 TV additions from TCL include:

  • C825 4K Mini-LED with QLED: perfect for movies and sports
  • C725 4K QLED TV: ultimate home entertainment experience
  • P725 4K HDR: superior entertainment centre with Dolby enhanced experiences

Expanding their audio range, TCL have also released details of the MOVEAUDIO S600 Wireless Headphones. MOVEAUDIO S600 are:

  • Hybrid active noise cancelling headphones
  • Offers up to 7 hours of playtime
  • Each headphone bud features 3x microphones to ensure clear voice calls
  • Google Assistant supported
  • Will be available globally from February

Hisense launches fastest operating system VIDAA U5

Enjoy fast TV processing times with Hisense’s newly released operating system, VIDAA U5. Hisense’s fastest operating system to date, VIDAA U5 boasts 20% faster loading time of just 1.7 seconds* (*compared to Hisense VIDAA U4). Smoother scrolling and a compact and visual layout lets users view more content on the screen for reduced browsing time.

VIDAA U5 will be available on a majority of Hisense’s 2021 Australian TV range. Other new additions in 2021 will be the Kayo sports streaming app and VIDAA SmartRemote Mobile App for easy control from any smart device.


Facebook Watch TV app, available with LG

Watch all your favourite videos from Facebook, now on your LG TV. The Facebook Watch TV app is now supported by LG smart TVs manufactured between 2014 to 2020.
The app can be downloaded via the LG Content Store in countries where Facebook Watch is available.

From news to sports, live videos and everything else in between, the Facebook Watch TV App lets you view videos that have been saved, shared, or uploaded to Facebook, all on the big screen.
