Every year, the world’s top tech innovators meet at IFA in Berlin, a leading global event for consumer electronics and home appliances. This is where the future is revealed, showcasing the products and trends that will define how we live, work, and play in the years ahead. IFA 2025 gave us an exciting look at a future that’s more intelligent, sustainable, and convenient. Let’s dive into this year’s top innovations.
Trend 1: AI Powered Living – Your Smart Assistant
Artificial intelligence continues to dominate modern living, with manufacturers finding new ways to integrate AI into devices for an easier and smarter living experience.
TCL’s Ai Me: The AI Companion
TCL’s new Ai Me(pronounced “Amy”) AI companion robot was a showstopper. Designed to be more than just a gadget, this friendly robot adds a human touch to technology by helping you with a range of tasks. Ai Me can record memories, manage your smart home devices, and even provide home security. Its features extend to your car too, with in-vehicle integration for navigation and searches, making it a true companion wherever you go.

Robot Vacuums for the Future from Bosch and Eufy
Robot vacuums took a major leap forward, with a key innovation being Eufy’s RoboVac Omni S2. This new model solves the long-standing problem of cleaning multi-story homes. It pairs with a “Marswalker” rover that uses rugged wheels and advanced sensors to navigate between floors, climbing straight, L-shaped, and U-shaped staircases. This allows the Omni S2 to dock with the rover and move easily throughout the entire house.

Adding to the robot vacuum line up, Bosch unveiled its Spotless hybrid vacuum and mop robots, which feature powerful suction and a “Dry-Wet-Service Station.” This premium station empties the dustbin, automatically cleans and dries the mops, and refills the water tank for truly hands-off maintenance

Trend 2: Sustainability Around the Home
Energy efficiency and reduced consumption were key takeaways, particularly when it comes to laundry appliances. Major brands such as Bosch, TCL, and Haier are at the forefront of this movement, offering appliances designed to lessen environmental impact while maintaining a high level of performance.
Bosch’s Class A Energy Efficiency
Bosch’s Series 8 laundry line is redefining efficiency. The 11kg washing machine surpasses even the highest “A-class” rating by about 20%, partly due to its i-Dos with Detergent Scan feature, which precisely measures the amount of detergent needed. The matching heat-pump dryers also achieve Class A efficiency, reducing energy consumption by up to 78% when compared to conventional dryers.

Haier’s AI Camera Washing Machine
Haier’s new intelligent washing machine boasts nine sensors and an AI camera that recognises load types and offers personalised program recommendations, coordinating seamlessly with compatible Haier dryers.

Bosch’s Green Steel Dishwashers
Bosch is taking a major step towards sustainability with its Green Collection dishwashers, which are made with green steel. This unique material is produced using a process that replaces fossil fuels with renewable energy like hydrogen. As a result, the production releases significantly fewer greenhouse gas emissions. This technology allows you to make an eco-friendly choice that supports climate protection, all while enjoying the premium performance Bosch is known for.
A Look Back at IFA 2025
The innovations on display at IFA 2025 point to a future where our homes are more responsive, efficient, and aligned with our individual needs. From AI companions that understand us to appliances that adapt to our habits while protecting the environment, technology is becoming a true partner in creating a better quality of life. The future is one that is more inclusive, efficient, and enjoyable than ever before.
